Kate Volkman

Kate is passionate about empowering individuals as they seek fulfillment and meaning. She believes that her clients will experience healing when they are fully known, embraced, and viewed through a lens of dignity. Oftentimes, clients are perplexed by their behaviors or distressed by their emotional realities. Kate walks alongside them with gentle curiosity and compassion, seeking to identify the root of their obstacles so that they may gain freedom to reach their goals.

As a Central Florida native, Kate is dedicated to serving the local community. This is what led her to receive a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Reformed Theological Seminary. Kate has been blessed with extraordinary healing and growth through her own counseling experience, motivating her to provide clients with the same level of care. She willingly jumps in the trenches with her clients as they explore the most challenging aspects of their lives. She has worked with diverse populations, including couples, adolescents, and families, who have experienced anxiety, depression, relational conflict, trauma, sexual/physical/emotional abuse, poor communication, existential crisis, low self-esteem, ADHD, career challenges/direction, and identity formation. The most important objective in Kate’s time spent with clients is that they can rest assured she has their best interests at heart regardless of their circumstances.

In her free time, Kate shares an adventurous spirit with her husband and dog, Maizey. They enjoy traveling, trying new food, and good conversation. She is most at peace scuba diving or overlooking the water.

Kate sees clients at Florida Counseling Foundation in Maitland and at her office in Winter Garden. You can learn more about Kate on her website: www.katevolkman.com or get in touch with her via email: kate@katevolkman.com or by phone/text: (407) 815-4381.
