John Bricker

I hope the next step you take is the first toward a new beginning where you will be known, cared for, and respected. The contemplation of counseling may feel intimidating, overwhelming, and uncertain. I want you to know that I understand, I believe in the process, and I am committed to caring for you with dignity and diligence.

My professional journey began in May of 2014, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Pastoral Counseling at the University of Valley Forge. In May 2020, I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling degree at Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando). In November of 2023, I became a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Florida. Through my own experiences of pain, struggle, conflict, and trauma, I have learned the extraordinary value of counseling and the beauty of restored relationship.

I enjoy working with individuals (Adolescent-adult), couples, and families, who experience anxiety, depression, conflict in relationship, sexual issues, trauma, and grief. The foundation of my clinical approach is comprised of Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment, and Family Systems.

I and my wife of 36 years enjoy spending their time together and with our family; we especially enjoy preparing meals together, playing at the beach, and finding ways to slow down together. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis and getting outdoors.
