Ann Miller

Ann Miller is a Jersey girl who spent the beginning of her career as a clinical virologist before deciding to move to the other side of the globe. During her two decades of work in Central Asia, Ann served as a consultant for personal growth and team development, and as a mentor to men and women who wanted to explore their spiritual journeys.

Since 2014, Ann has worked in Central Florida as a mental health counselor. She is trained in EMDR, an evidence-based therapy used to treat trauma, employs an experiential model of counseling using creative interventions and enjoys working with individuals who are experiencing the issues real life brings - relational struggles, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, singleness, sexual abuse, and communication and marital stress. Ann has a wealth of experience working with individuals and families who are facing the stresses and transitions involved with expatriate life. She received her BS in Biology and Chemistry from Lebanon Valley and her MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary.

Ann brings both compassion and strength into the counseling room, where she creates an atmosphere that is safe and supportive for individuals who want to explore their stories. Ann believes that counseling is not about changing your circumstances, but instead is a restorative process that involves moving towards being at peace with yourself, your world, and God.

When she’s not at work, Ann can be found belly laughing with friends or building sandcastles at the beach with her husband, Dan. A perfect is Saturday for Ann involves strong coffee, playing with paints and brushes, and something chocolate for dessert.
